Womb Yoga for Post Natal Recovery
During pregnancy and childbirth, a lot happens in a woman's body.
Your uterus has grown 25x its actual size to make room for your baby. Pregnancy and childbirth have a big impact on your body, your womb and other organs in the pelvis such as the bladder and urinary tract, the rectum, and also your pelvic floor muscles.
In addition, the postnatal period (including the one following a miscarriage, stillbirth or abortion) brings about enormous changes in yourself on an emotional, mental and spiritual level.
The postnatal period can officially be seen as a period of five (!) years,
where your system is still recovering from this enormous transformation.
Womb Yoga for Postnatal Recovery is very broad and can be practiced from a few weeks to a few years after childbirth. It focuses on nurturing both the physical body as well as the mental and emotional transitional nature of the post-natal period.

Womb Yoga can provide support during this time by:
- creating deep rest and relaxation necessary for the recovery of body and mind
- working to strengthen your pelvic (floor) muscles and rest of the body again after childbirth
- To promote your vitality, so that you can care for your child with more energy
